Energy efficiency: Choose the right product

The energy labels exist for 10 years now. They originate in the European Union directives in 1992 but the French see it bloom only from 1995. It is set up especially under the leadership of climate energy package that aims to save 20 % of the energy consumption of the EU by 2020. the energy label is a record for the European consumer and assesses the energy performance of a product, a home or a vehicle by assigning a note from a +++ (energy efficient or efficient) to G (energy-intensive). The legislator specifies that "The provision of accurate, relevant and comparable information on the specific energy consumption of energy-related products should influence the choice of the end user the benefit of consuming products, directly or indirectly, less than energy and other essential resources during use ".

Through the energy label the authorities want to point the finger at the most effective devices for European citizens.

How are assigned the rating of an energy label?

Note Energy label depends not only consumption KWh. This is a score according to an index calculated through various technical criteria of a device such as consumption compared to the volume of its compartments or its consumption on a cycle number defined in terms of liters of water consumed, etc ...

How do the energy labels?
 Energy Efficiency Label

In late 2011 a European directive has updated the form of energy labels for use in trade and thus easier to read for consumers. The first area shows the label on the manufacturer and model. The second area consists of colored arrows and a note from A to G was remodeled on the new label. The new label allows up to A +++ and completely removes ratings from below D.
